Road Trip

Our daughter Sara is on her way to become a chiropractor. About a month ago she called up and asked if we could go on a road trip to check out Tennessee and North Carolina. So of course we said we would.
Our first stop was Nashville, TN. Our nephew Eric Tonnar just moved to Nashville with his job so we stayed with Eric for the first part of the trip.
The first day we were in Nashville, we met Steve Siler and Sue Foster from Music for the Soul. Steve Siler is one of the top recognized song writers in Nashville so of course we were honored we could have lunch with him.
I think we were all a little nervous meeting such a celebrity but he is such a down to earth person he put us at ease right away. He made me feel special as a songwriter/musician but he also challenged me to come up with music that can really stir feelings in people.
I came away determined to become a better writer.
The next afternoon we were on our way to Knoxville to see Dr. Pete Sulack at Exodus Chiropractic office.
Before we left for Knoxville, we stopped at a friend’s house for what we thought would be 10 to 15 minutes. We met Sandy Griffin on facebook and have really become good internet friends. Sandy is a life coach and inspirational speaker.
Well our 10 minutes turned into 2 hours and we were all blessed. Sandy also affirmed my goal of singing and writing music that can inspire and hopefully help people. However, she like Steve Siler challenged me to dig deeper and write some songs that really dig into some feelings.
Those two days were so emotional and uplifting not only for me but also for my husband Mark and Sara. If our trip was only to see those people I could say it was the best trip I have ever taken.
More to come tomorrow …
