Touching Others

by on May.28, 2010, under Music

I just had one of the coolest experiences! Being interviewed on Skype by Anthony Hosking at

We talked about some of my songs from my “Healing Hearts” album. Remembering back to the 90′s when I wrote the songs, I was overwhelmed with feelings and emotions of that time in my life. Listening to him play the song “Healing Hearts”, about my little child inside that held her teddy bear tight, so frozen in pain and fear. Tears came to my eyes and even across the world on Skype, I saw tears in Anthony’s eyes also. Children were never meant to pay that way, they are to be loved, cherished, and cared for. Abuse is a topic that no one wants to talk about, so for me singing and expressing my heart is one way for me to give back and help another. Are you in pain, or hurting, just remember that Love is the answer, you can be free from your shame, believe me, I am. I don’t have all the answers, but I do know that you are beautiful! Here take my hand.

Giving Your Life Away

by on Jan.27, 2010, under Music

We all get chances to give our lives away.

Today I had an opportunity to share bits of my story and sing some of my songs in a very unique setting. I sang to the residents at the Trempealeau County Health Center. Just to look into their eyes, see their tears and smiles, I knew they knew and I felt their connection.

I sang “Rock me Jesus” a song I wrote back in the 90′s when I was in one of the darkest places of my life. As a little girl, I would escape into the safety of heaven and Jesus would rock me all through the night, yet what I wanted was my momma to keep me safe from all harm.

Visiting with some of the wonderful woman afterwards gave me a renewed appreciation for life, healing, hope and grace. I was able to share some of my survival skills with them and encourage them to love themselves.

There are so many walking wounded in this world that need what you have to give. I challenge you to take that risk and bless someone today and just give your life away.

Road Trip

by on Jul.08, 2009, under Music

Our daughter Sara is on her way to become a chiropractor.

About a month ago she called up and asked if we could go on a road trip to check out Tennessee and North Carolina.

So of course we said we would.

Our first stop was Nashville, TN. Our nephew Eric Tonnar just moved to Nashville with his job so we stayed with Eric for the first part of the trip.

The first day we were in Nashville, we met Steve Siler and Sue Foster from Music for the Soul. Steve Siler is one of the top recognized song writers in Nashville so of course we were honored we could have lunch with him. (continue reading…)

My Child

by on Jun.26, 2009, under Music

My song “My Child” debuted on the Christian Country Power Source chart at number 99. When I viagra usa recorded Healing Hearts we had no idea where it was going to lead us.

I have always wanted to record tadalafil no prescription an album so Healing Hearts was a huge goal.

But I also thought my story and music could help some people.

When “My Child” was sent to the radio stations we had no clue what was going to happen. We still don’t know what is going to happen but if I can touch one person with my music this has all been worth it.

So if you happen to hear “My Child” on your favorite radio station and you feel called, please call your station and request they play it again.

Thank you!

Glory Bound Train

by on Jun.23, 2009, under Music

I wrote Glory Bound Train during the 70′s and in my teen years. I wrote it with you kids in mind. This has always been a fun song to sing.

While I was an aide in the public school system I sang this song to my students when I was working with LD students. They loved it.

The most fun was singing to my kids Sara and Michael when they were young.

This video is from my CD opening. Playing and singing with me are Jim Pullman and my son Michael. Ted Bukowski is on percussions.

During the opening we played Glory Bound Train with a little blues vibe to it.

I hope you enjoy it.

You can see more videos of my opening on my youtube site.
